4250 Starting Problem

Hi All,
I have an older (1986) model 4250 that (90% of the time) will fail to start after having been run for a period of time. For example, I can climb in the cab and run the shredder (15' batwing) for an hour or so and if I shut the tractor off or happen to high center the cutter and kill the engine, it won't start immediately. The starter spins the engine but it won't fire up. I have to let the tractor set idle for about 45 minutes and then it will start right up. At all other times, i.e. cold engine, it starts great. This has happened to me about 6 or 7 times and its frustrating. I have changed all of the fuel filters (3) and the problem still exists. It's winter now so the best time to fix the problem but I'm not sure if I have a fuel pump problem, injector pump problem, or some kind of air locked fuel line problem that dissipates during that 45 minute period. Any ideas before I attact the fuel system? :unknown:
