Was mowing for several hours and decided to take a break (for myself and the tractor). Decided to do an oil change while the engine was warmed up (have changed the oil many times before). Pulled into the garage, turned off the tractor, pulled together the necessary tools and oil, and did the change. Afterward, turned the key and NOTHING...no starter turning, no clicking...NOTHING...battery checks out on meter...cleaned the terminals...winch on back of tractor also hooked up and it works just fine. Yes, a little new oil did drip onto the starter motor, and the starter motor case is a little grimy, but it acts like it simply isn't getting any electricity at all...one minute works great...next minute it won't start...any ideas?
