1023E work lights wiring question

I didn't want to steal the 1025R thread so I'm starting a new one for the 1023E.

The 3 wires going to the tail lights are black green and grey. The lights have two wires... red and black.

So should I got black to black and then red to green?

FYI on the tractor the black has a female connection. The green and grey have male.
