Box Blade Modded For Snow

When I purchased my box blade I had concerns about the cutting edge and whether or not it would damage the driveways that I clear snow from, 18 total properties. My fears were confirmed when We got our first snow. No matter how I adjusted the blade angle, it still caused scrape marks. Being that I still wanted to be able to use my box blade in the summer for grading and spreading product, I decided that I needed to modify this implement in such a manner as to maintain its original state.

My answer presented itself when passing thru a mall parking lot and saw a Pro-Tec pusher blade on the front of a loader. The side skids and rubber (vertical) mounted cutting edge was ideal. I had my welder fab up a removable adapter to the box blade that mimics the pusher. I used some horse stall mat as a cutting edge.
