Well my 3point log splitter saga continues. After experiencing a total bust TSC on a county line log splitter I thought the peer horse dual action would be the way to go. However that splitter only comes with an open spool valve and try as I may with tech support my only option would be to find a dealer and buy a closed spool valve or kit. Doesn't seem fair to add the cost.
After getting some help off the hydraulic thread here I found my tractor has a standby pressure of 2250 psi so I would only get about 13 ton out of a 20 ton splitter. I believe my pump is big enough on the 2640. So I suppose I either have to spend quite a bit more on a pto splitter or a stand alone model.
I really wanted to use my tractor to run splitter although I know there are two schools of thought on that
