Not sure how to ask this or if I can word it right, but here we go. Not looking to start a brand debate or irritate anyone. With that said, can I ask what in particular feature or logic caused you to buy the john deere one series?
I am hunting an scut and have done lots of reading and research . I have about 3 acres creekside with about 1/2 being woods and brush and that half being a rather steep hill. I do have a pretty good access road to the creek thru it already. The rest is lawn, some with trees and some open but perimeter is all evergreen spruce trees. Not flat but not steep hill either. Gravel driveway 400' plus, mostly level but some incline is between it and where the tractor will live in the shed.
I test drove a 1025r last weekend(loved it). I'm gonna go check out another brand this weekend and see what I think.
I know several folks that own another brand and love them, they all seem sincere and justified. I know not a soul that owns a deere SCUT and why they went that way. Hoping you all can share your reasoning for going green and maybe any of the things you didn't anticipate that you wish were different about them.
So far I'm leaning Deer for following things,
It's a bit wider, and a bit lower, I live on a hill. Seems the quick attach bucket, not the loader itself but the quick tach bucket is standard on deere and optional on others.
I like the 2 pedal design directional control. On paper, lift capacity on FEL slightly higher?? Under hood trans cooler. Advertised connectibility, if it 's real, I'm getting older. Fender lights standard on the 1025. Looks like the bucket is closer to front axle to me as well, I see that as leverage advantage. And last but not least the thing is just very cool looking! Am I missing anything and or putting to much stock in a simply "marketed" feature. Like I said I don't actually know anyone that owns one.
thanks in advance for your thoughts.
