OK Folks..... Bought my Dad's 'Birth House' in early 70's. Young kids, and no time! Paid taxes and cut grass! No time to really enjoy. In the past 15-20 years I drilled a well and plumbed the house w/ CPVC. Well now with the 'Kids' grown, were out there every weekend. The boys being hunters, we push the season to the limit (12/15) . PVC is not tolerent to waterline freeze-ups, thus we've occasonally had a 'shattered' pipe or two, despite my efforts of drain taps. Well just recently have heard the praises of PEX. (Yes I searched GTT with no results). It appear to be reasonably priced, and a DIY type product. After you buy the crimp tool, and fittings, the coils themselves are a pitance. It's a small house (See my Barn build thread for a picture). Long way to go for a quick question: What the consense on PEX? Ease of use, Frost tollerance, cost etc. Thanks in advance! ~Scotty ( Note our winters out there are brutal. Weeks of "lows" below zero, and many weeks (4-5) without going above freezing!) TNX!
