Greetings,
I was mowing yesterday and my tractor just died. I was at full RPM but not under any heavy load.
When I went to restart with PTO switch off and in neutral, she cranks off fine but then dies. She did this once this past April, but by the next morning she fired off fine.
After the incident in April, I started ready through the technical CD and other posts related to my symptoms thinking that this gremlin would come back. So I'm at the "Fuel Supply Hold-In Circuit" tests and diagnostics. If I'm testing things right, I not have battery voltage to the Y2 fuel shutoff solenoid (A).
Also, if I'm testing things correctly, I do have battery voltage at the K3 Safety relay 2 (C).
So that would indicate replacement of the V4 diode, well I'm going with that story because I really don't know how to test wires/connections 53 and 55.
There are 2 problems:
1. If I'm testing things right is high on the probability list that I'm not.
2. I pulled the 2 diodes in the picture and continuality tests shows they are ok. But is either of these the V4 diode?
Could anyone confirm the 3 main components I'm trying to test?
My tractor is from 2005 or 2006, I'm the 2nd owner and it came with the house.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Brian
