I get no current to the positive side of the ignition coil. Negative side goes to distributor. Engine will start and run while key is in the start position, but when released to run position +12 volts to coil goes away. If I hot wire from +12 volt of battery to + side of coil, engine runs fine. Is there a safety interlock in the ignition system that shuts off coil? Could ignition switch be burned out? I see a single wire to bowl side of carburetor, not sure if this is a sensor that has to be satisfied to run. How might I go about finding a schematic wiring diagram for this old girl. Thanks for any guidance or help here!
