Is it normal for the X500 cruise control to not control the speed going downhill? I was dragging my magnetic broom around the driveway this morning and since it works best when I go slow I engaged the cruise control on the second click resulting in a speed a bit slower than walking.
It worked fine on the level but as I started down the end of the driveway the tractor started to pickup speed significantly. As soon as I touched the forward pedal to disengage the cruise control the tractor immediately slowed down to the speed it should have been travelling for that amount of pedal pressure.
My driveway is a slight incline but nothing severe.
If the cruise control simply locks the forward pedal at a certain position, why won't it maintain speed downhill?
