Blendtec Blender Plug Help

My Blendtec blender plug lost the round plus portion yesterday. Found it still sticking in the outlet. I use it all of the time, it's over 7 years old I think and runs perfect. Can I just replace the plug portion by cutting it off and splicing in so to speak another plug or will I likely need to try and find the entire cord? I am not much with electrical :)
