Pardon the length, I just want to cover all the basesHave a 1026R with 135 hours on it. About 3 weeks ago, I was mowing then shut it off to adjust my MCS. When I got back on, it wouldn't start. Checkec all of the obvious (PTO, in gear, etc.). Still wouldn't start. So I figured it was the battery since the unit is a couple of years old (2011 I think). Jumped it with my truck and no problem. Bought a new battery and didn't have any problems til last Thursday. I had started the tractor then after shutting it down, it wouldn't start back up. Checked the usual suspects and nothing. About 30 minutes later, it started up. Went out in the yard to put the mower deck on and stepped off it while in gear and it shut down. It wouldn't restart after I put it in neutral and did the usual check. About 20 minutes later, it started up again so I pulled it into the garage for the nite.
Last nite, it started right up with me not in the seat. I shut it down while working on something and it wouldn't start back up again. Checked the seat switch (good) and the usual suspects. About 20 minutes later, started again. It happened one more time while mowing.
Anyone else have this problem? Thoughts on the cause? I'm going to check the connections to the starter and work my way through the starting system. Any way to test the relays?
