I recently bought an F935 mower. Drove good, mowed good for the few minutes I test drove it. Got it home and put it to work and after about 20-30 minutes the machine would barely move! The motor seems strong, it was re-powered a few years ago and looks it. I'm guessing the hydro is weak. A few years back I bought a F930 (great Mower) and a separate F930 parts machine. I'm thinking about taking the transmission out of the parts machine and putting into the F935. I see on the JD parts website that the transmissions have different part numbers for the 2 machines, but appear to be identical. The internals of the transmissions appear to be nearly the same. So,
1. Does my diagnosis of a bad tranny seem correct?
2. Are these transmissions interchangeable?
The F930 parts machine is SN 316203. AM100374 (SAUER SUNDSTRAND 90-1247) is shown as the tranny part number.
The F935 is SN 475043. AM119153 comes up as the part number for this one.
Thanks.
