I am having trouble deciding which tractor to choose, any help would be appreciated. The 3520 is $4,000 more than the 3320?
John Deere 3320 2007, 700 hrs, R3 tires, Loader, 60" Quick connect & 72" quick connect deck. local JD dealer has it that my nephew works for at a different store. when i went and looked at it right front was parked low. checked front axle oil none showed on dip stick! checked rear end oil it barely touched the dip stick. My nephew took it to his store, got in text me "you do not want it there is a problem" i called him, there was a noise, "might be a bearing, you can only hear it in the cab, with the door closed, when you step on the (hydro or throttle i forget which, i am thinking now it was speed the motor up) and let it slow down, I am not sure if we will fix it or take it to the auction". He let me know they were going to fix it. Later in the week I called him and asked him what they found, "oh it is all fixed" I asked him what was wrong with it. "It was low on oil". That makes me wonder if it is OK, has it been damaged, if it has been running low on oil? What about the front end?
the other tractor a used tractor dealer has it about 2.5 hrs away.
JD 3520, 2012, 150 hrs, R4 tires loaded (maybe with beat juice?), Loader, 72" quick connect. A horse farm had it, moving round bales with it. Decided the tractor was not big enough for him and traded it for a bigger tractor. That is all i know about it.
The 3320 is $4,000 less. the 3320 makes me a little nervous, the 3520 seems like a better deal.
It is already more money than i was going to spend. Had not planned on the cab, as i thought i had to buy a new one to get the quick connect. Wife says I am to old to get down and hook up mower deck and should have the cab.
How much damage is the R4 tires going to do to my lawn.
The tractor is really too big for my lawn, I have a field next to me, I want to stop borrowing tractors to mow the field, clear my drive and use the loader from my brother.
Recommendations and thoughts would be appreciated.
