As the proud new owner (1 week today) of a 1025r and 3 trailers, 2 boat and large utility, I saw a solution to a moving problem. I am always moving these beasts around my large yard. They seem to be in the wrong place more often then not. What better then a tractor to do the job. But how to mount hitch. A class 2 hitch does the job fine. This is a solid 1 1/4 steel bar. A riser of 5" is about the right size with a 2" ball. To mount this I found a JD rear receiver hitch # BM 20877 from the Green Farm Parts store, or your favorite dealer for $43. A Curt # 45014 class 2 , 1 1/4 , 5" rise ball mount $18.47 and a Curt 2" ball for $8.99. Both of these from Amazon with Prime free 2 day shipping. Amazon beat anything I could find locally in both price and assortment . Mounting was easy after enlarging the 2 holes to 9/16 or 5/8 In the rear receiver. Remove the 2 factory bolts on the right side , put the receiver on top, the holes now match. Re bolt using the nice JD washer bolts and washer nuts. Pop in the hitch and ball and you are ready to tow away your blues..... Fast on , fast off .... The two large bolts hold very well ... :greentractorride: Now A few pictures.....
