Hello everyone here. I've been reading this forum for a little while but just registered today. Last year I bought a JD 2520 to clean out my livestock shelter that's roof is to short for my skid steer to fit in. I found this tractor with less than 50 hours and has the mmm, front blade and H130 loader. I got tired of screwing with the turnbuckles on the 3 pt and bought a quick hitch. The problem I'm having is the lower link hooks are to small for any adapters. I bought the adapters with knobs on the end from Tractor Supply and they are to big to fit down in the hooks. The biggest that will fit is 1 1/8" cat 2 pins without any adapters. So I have been using cat 1-2 link pins only. Anyway I was looking at getting a Heavy Hitch and emailed the gentleman about if the lower pins can be switched out due to the above problem. He asked me if my hitch was a JD and I told him yes. Now the more I think about it I'm not sure it is. I bought it from my JD dealership, it's JD green, has the adjustable top hook and I paid a JD price for it. It looks just like a smaller version of my JD quick hitch on my big tractors except top hook of course. The thing that got me thinking is it doesn't say John Deere anywhere on it and they're usually pretty proud of their name and stamp it on everything. I was at the dealership the other day and asked if I need I-match bushings or what for this thing. They told me no I-match bushings won't work with my hitch because it is a new and improved quick hitch. Does anyone else have this problem or just me.
