Many of you have followed my story of my 5065E series, and SERIOUS transmission, fluid, and hydraulic heat problems. May I ask you to check your "E" series tractors for this issue -----
If you turn the steering wheel all the way to a lock ---- does the steering wheel slowly continue to turn when at lock ??? Turn the steering wheel all the way to the opposite lock --- does it still continue to slowly let you turn the steering wheel ?
I have a suicide knob on the steering wheel, and noticed the steering wheel is not staying in the same orientation. Could be the orbitrol under the wheel is bypassing a little oil, could be the steer cylinder.
I believe it is possible the high heat my unit has experienced could have cooked seals in one or the other, or both.
OR, do all "E" series leak some internal oil in the steer system ?
