I just replaced the A/C compressor on my 4230.
I flushed the system, blew it out with dry air and installed a new dryer and replaced the discharge hose from the compressor to the condenser.
I pulled a good vacuum and started to recharge it.
That's when I realized my gauges don't connect to the new style fittings.
I had a hose with a gauge for adding Freon but I was unable to check the discharge pressure.
I added 31 ounces which I'm sure is not enough but the suction pressure was just in the safe area and the cab was getting cold so I stopped there.
Anyway, does anyone know how many ounces should go in a 1976 4230?
Thanks
