Guys,
I'm the proud owner of a new 4044m. When I ordered the tractor I requested that the dealer install a EH 3rd SCV to operate a root grapple. When the tractor arrived, the dealer did not install the JD 3rd SCV as the outlets are at the rear of the tractor. He said they preferred the WR Long kit as it is much simpler as the lines run from the loader valve instead of the rear.
The problem is since this is a new loader, WR Long doesn't have a kit available yet and no ETA when this kit will be available.
So in the opinion of the esteemed members of this great forum what plan of action do you suggest I take? Insist that my dealer is install the JD kit? Wait on the WR Long? I'm not sure exactly what I need for the complete install. I'm assuming the valve kit P/N BLV10049 Electrohydraulic 3rd SCV kit and line kit P/N BLV10018 3rd SCV tubing kit. There is also a BLV10456 Load Center Assembly Kit (for powering all EH kits) ,but I'm not sure if this is necessary or what it actually does.
I could always install myself, I have an automotive background and competent with tools. However, I don't look forward to working in the garage when it's 95 degrees and 80% humidity. If it's a few hour install, no big deal. A full day with a lot of disassembly? No thanks.
Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated!
