Serial Number Sticker Size

Could anyone give me the dimensions of their serial number sticker? Mine was in tatters and while I managed to salvage the SN, I wasn't able to get a good size off of it before stripping the dash tower/pedestal. I am going to have a plate made and wanted to have it of similar size. Offhand guess I was thinking 2x3.5 or so, but I'd prefer to be more accurate if I can. This is off of my 1989 318.
