332 belt problems

This is my first post here. I've searched the threads high and low, so hopefully not posting a redundant topic.

I recently acquired I believe is a 1990 332 with a 50" deck. The previous owner(s) I'm guessing didn't want to take the time to adequately maintain this glorious piece of equipment, so within the first two weeks of owning the tractor I replaced the fuel shutoff solenoid and the voltage regulator, as well as a battery and the fuel cap/gauge. Thanks to this forum of course! That's why I'm hoping to get some guidance on this topic.

About two weeks ago I was mowing and my belt slipped-the one that runs from the PTO to the deck-what I've seen called the mule drive belt. The belt itself doesn't seem to be in bad shape, but as many times as I've tried putting it back on and it slipping off, it may be a place to start.

So getting to my questions. 1) does this sound like a belt problem or could it be the bearing in the pulleys? There are three-the one on the deck that spins the three other pulleys, and the two in the front, one being the adjustment pulley and the other is stationary?

2) could this be a problem in the tension/adjustment pulley in the front? I have not seen how the front is properly configured, as far as how the tension is put on the belt. The previous owner, having the screw attached to the adjustment pulley run through the hole, used a socket as a spacer and a nut to tighten everything. I know this isn't correct. Is there a diagram or a manual available showing the correct parts used here? I have not been able to locate one.

I hope this makes sense. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
