3720 Stiff loader control lever

My boss has a 3720 with a factory cab that we use quite a bit and love. The loader lever is terribly stiff though, we thought as we used it from new it would smooth out, but it hasn't. It was in for some service work and the dealer said thats just how it is, but I find it hard to believe. There also seems to be quite a bit of play in it for having 250 hours on it. Anyone else experience with their machines? We have tried to lubricate the cables but it does not seem to make a difference. Is there anything else to look for?
