Damage to hydraulic brake line

Earlier this year while mowing without removing enough fallen tree parts the brake line on my 5410 got damaged sort of under the controls to the left of the seat. When this happens it is detected by the brake pedal going farther than usual and no stopping force. I discovered that if only the pedal on the side that isn't damaged is pushed there is brake to that rear wheel and perhaps some effect to the front ones if mfwd is engaged.

These lines are not flare like automotive. It seems there are braze on parts. The seal is an o ring pressed between two flats. I was unable to unscrew anything without twisting the lines. It really takes a bit of separation and a whack to get the part that is supposed to spin to do so. One could cut off close and then knock out the little piece upon brazing shorter. Mine broke in such a spot. Eventually I was able to remove a few rods bend it and get it out. I might have got a new one but they didn't stock it and I had to find the serial # and time etc.
