There has been several member who have mentioned this. It's even on "other" forums.... Some have complained of it, others have said there is a DTAC on this. I can't find any real information on this other than hearsay. :unknown: Can anybody please post some numbers or what was repaired? I'm very curious and wonder if it would apply to my tractor.
My 2720 trans will at times stall when under a load. But the engine never slows down or bogs.... Lots of people say they run out of traction before HP, I run out of transmission strength. When first started, the hydrostat whines really bad until you move a few feet. If you leave the transmission in neutral and move the pedals to "prime" the hydro, it doesn't do this. Could be a symptom, I'm not sure. The anti-cavitation valves and suction check valves should prevent the hydrostat from running dry. First start of the day, it could just be leak-down. When the trans stalls in gear, sometimes the pedal will go right to the floor super easy, an indication of cavitation. If you put the tractor on a big hill in high range, the pedal will get really hard and stay hard when it goes into relief. I think it's a cavitation issue, but I can't seem to pin it down. My dealer can't find any information on this. I just want to end the mystery.
