3520 front axle leak, PTO sensor issue

My 3520 will be headed to the dealer soon to fix a couple small issues before the 2 year warranty is up. Right at 222 hours now.

My front right axle seal has leaked periodically over the last year. I've only had to add a little bit of low-vis Hygard during that time (less than a quart) but it's still something to get fixed. If they suggest switching to regular Hygard I will do that, but I still want to have the seal replaced. I think the lack of a vent on the front axle is contributing to the problem. If I clean the wheel it will stay clean for a little while, but then a few weeks or a few months later I will notice some more oil buildup.

The second issue is with the mid-PTO engagement sensor. When I have the PTO selector lever in the "rear PTO" position, the mid PTO sensor sometimes illuminates along with the rear PTO sensor. If I wiggle the PTO selector lever up and down (without leaving the rear PTO mode) I can make the mid-PTO light turn on and off. When I'm riding along with a rear mower, it doesn't matter if the mid-PTO sensor blinks on and off all the time because I'm sitting on the seat. However, when I'm using my wood chipper with the off-seat PTO logic, I have to use a bungee cord to maintain constant upwards tension on the PTO selector lever. Otherwise as soon as the tractor thinks the mid-PTO is engaged it will cut the fuel pump as a safety measure. When the lever is in the combined PTO mode, both lights stay on constantly and in the mid-PTO only mode the rear PTO light does not illuminate as expected.

I looked at the tech manual and parts catalog a couple days ago and I see there is a mid-PTO and rear-PTO sensing unit (same part number for each) that screw into the e-Hydro transmission with an o-ring seal. Since the sensor can be manipulated by wiggling the selector lever I am pretty sure this is not a wiring issue. Probably a defective sensor.

I may also ask them to tighten the rockshaft lever, as it has loosened a little bit since I tightened it myself a few months ago. I probably should have done 1/2 turn instead of 1/4 when I tightened it last.

I haven't noticed any problems or leaks on my 300CX loader. The 485 backhoe has a slow leak in one of the stabilizer cylinders, but it's past the 1 year implement warranty so I will wait until it gets a bit worse before I replace the seal. I've also noticed that the backhoe arm and bucket will drift slowly when it is disconnected from the tractor. It's always done this to a limited extent, but lately if I leave the backhoe unhooked for a week it will have leaned back far enough that I can't just pick it up with the rockshaft. I have to hook up the hydraulic lines, stand it back upright, unhook the lines, pick it up with the rockshaft, install the pins, then hook the lines back up. If I only drop the backhoe for a few days I don't have to worry about that.
