The best job a 1025r could have.

This is one of my son in laws driving my 1025 with some grand children, nieces, nephews and a brother in law in tow on a wagon I made from scratch several years ago. That same son in law bought a huge piece of property near us and I decided he needed the wagon more than I did, so I gave it him knowing full well I'd have an excuse to build a new one with some features I neglected to think of when I built the original.

Not wanting to be without my own wagon for hayrides, collecting wood, etc., I set out to build a new one. Here it is, almost finished.

I bought the frame from from Northern Tool and built the rest using treated deck wood. It's pretty sweet, if I do say so myself. The tandem axle on a rocker should make for a smoother ride over the horse-hoof divots in the pasture and woods. The steps at the back should save me having to jump on and off the tractor to lift "little ones" in and out. I can't wait to see the grand kids climbing up those steps for the ride. I plan to add "grab handles" for climbing in and out as well. The old wagon was 4' x 8', while the new on is 4.5' x 9'.

I found this trailer pretty interesting as well, but felt the tandem axle would provide a better ride.

I hope this inspires others to maybe do the same sort of thing. My wife and I love fall weather and have always loved hayrides. I hope this is something that our grand children will never forget and with any luck, these wagons will be around for their children. Lord knows I put enough screws in to make them as solid as can be.
