After a rough day on the trail I ripped a CV Boot! I also had a noise in the rear half axle on the same side. I decided to replace the half myself. It was difficult to remove until I you tubed it. Needless to say, there was not a video for the Gator. But a video on another UTV. Turns out, I needed to put a crowbar between the axle and the shaft, with a little pressure it simply pooped out.
Keep in mind the Axle fluid will come out as well, be prepared.
This is an easy do it yourself process. The Rear Half axle should cost you less then $100. Mine was $87 + gear oil.
