Last evening I received my new Heavy Hitch! Well it quickly turned into a few questions. First is why It didn't look like what is posted on the Heavy Hitch website and if Heavy Hitch sent the correct one for my 1026R? An early morning call (I do mean early), to Heavy Hitch, and with Greg on the phone explained that there has been a design change and I was one of the first to get one and that their website update is forthcoming to reflect the new design. First off this hitch is built like a tank. Greg explained that the new design change is to better handle the front weights and to secure them to the hitch VIA the new "Pin hitch securing bar?" (My term used here). Although I only did a static fit this morning, I'm sure it will be an asset no matter how you look at it. Greg also provided the part # for the "Gold" colored bar you provide from your quick mount hitch because I didn't want to continually transfer that bar to the Heavy Hitch and back to the quick mount hitch as needed. I would rather keep everything in a complete package for simplicity. Part number is LVU13765 for the bar to be ordered next few days. Greg was above par at Zero-Dark-Thirty this morning with his customer service.
