Serial Number Confusion

Is the serial number in the product ID somewhere?


I've got the LV number


and the Engine Serial Number
PE


on parts catalog you see something like


(SN -810000) ( - 810000)
(SN 810001-) (810001 - )



I'm not sure what this means.
