Pto shaft

I am new to my 1025r and just bought a fimco sprayer from tractor supply.

Neither the tractor or sprayer came with a pto shaft. Should one of them have included the shaft or is that something that I need to buy separately from JD?

Are shafts all one size and if not how do I measure the size I need
