This post is for anyone wondering about the capabilities of the John Deere 2520 and it's ability to swing the 72"MMM.
Today I cut the marsh grass for the 1st time this year. As long as I drive slow to allow the deck to discharge the clippings, this thing will cut up to 3 1/2 feet tall marsh grass without hesitation or decrease in engine RPM. It's an amazing little tractor. I have been doing this since August of 2006 when I bought the machine new in case anyone is wondering about longevity :) Oh yeah...I'm also on my original mower deck belt :thumbup1gif:
At the end of the photo trail, there are a couple of pics of where I mowed the front yard after mowing the marsh. The last time I mowed the front was July 28th, so it was long....but the photos show the finished cut, with minimal clumping. Blades are factory high-lift, non mulching.
Enjoy the photos!!!!
