Howdy Folks. Brand new to GTT. Also brand new to my virgin 1825r.
While I have a decent back ground in restoring old cycles and pickups this is my first tractor experience. Please be patient with me as I ask questions that are probably answered in the first week of FFA classes, but this elderly city boy is still capable of learning in his late 50's.
A little background - I've owned 60 acres of wilderness in Arkansas (with 15 acres of pasture) for 2 decades that backs up to a national park. I've got a guardian hillbilly saint that has been green manuring my pastures all this time on his jd A, so I have not had to spend my paper thin savings on a tractor until now.
I have just picked up some ranch property SW of Austin Tx for my retirement home; and have been a field biologist working in marshes and forested wetlands on the Texas coast for 35 years, so I'm comfortable with my boots on the ground, but until now I've never had the pleasure to imbibe in my guilty pleasure of owning a tractor.
I will be picking your fertile minds for information/ help. Thanks ahead of time for any you can give me.
