Another Autoconnect newbie question

The manual says to put the PTO into rear connect mode (mid floating) prior to mounting the autoconnect deck (if I'm reading it correctly), to allow the PTO to link up with the least amount of effort. The dealer did not mention this. Is it necessary with autoconnect? My rear latch doesn't always snap right into position, and I'm wondering if that is related.

I know there's a setup tutorial in the forum.... is there also a step by step connect tutorial?
