Ridgid Cordless Tools

I wanted to share a success story- I have always been a fan of cordless drills. I owned my first cordless drill more than 25 years ago. One given with all of the drills I had was that when the batteries or charger failed it was cheaper to buy a whole new combo than to buy new batteries or charger. That is, until 8 years ago. I went into Home Depot to replace my Makita drill and looked at the advertisement for the Lifetime Service Agreement for Ridgid Cordless tools. The paperwork stated that the standard warranty is 3 years but if the LSA was registered within the first 90 days, it would provide coverage for the tools and batteries. I really did not believe it.

All of the batteries were starting to under perform. I decided not to try the fight yet. But when one of the batteries would not charge at all, I looked into the warranty. I did get a bit of a run-around from Home Depot, but I am happy to report that I received this in the mail today-

They replaced all 3 batteries. I am still in shock but very pleased.
