I used my Frontier BB2060 box blade yesterday to rip up some roots and rocks from the dirt, with the scarifiers on the deepest setting. When I was ready to switch over to "smoothing" mode and pulled out the scarifiers, I noticed that a couple of the pins that set the height had been bent by the "lever" action of the scarifiers as they were digging in the soil. One of them was bent enough that I had to get a hammer to pound it out.
Is this something that should be happening with the box blade? Should I just reverse the orientation of the height-setting pins periodically so that they bend back in the other direction? I think it only happens when the scarifiers are set to the deepest position. At the higher positions the top side of the scarifier is braced against the box blade frame (on the top slot) instead of the pin.
