Anyone come up with a solution on how to make your snowblower a plow?

Hi,

There are a lot of people on here who seems to come up with some really great ideas so I thought someone might have already come up with a way to help on mine. :unknown:

I have a 54" snowblower that works great and I love it but when I only have a few inches or inch or 2 of ice that is where I have my problem!

I have a back blade I put in to help but it takes time to take my ballast off and then put it on the rear and plow backwards. I don't want to have to take off the snowblower (okay im lazy).

Well I got to thinking why isn't there a blade you can hook up to the front of the blower for the small jobs? Anyone done something like this? I thought of using the 54 blade but I would still have to take the blower off and still have my pto on.

If there was a way to hook a blade of some type quick and easy wouldn't this help us all? Not for big jobs just the small ones that I know most irritate some others on here.

Maybe something like weight that can be attached to the front of the blower without damaging it just to push a little slush or snow. Might be a great little money maker for someone :gizmo:

Look forward to hearing your ideas and solutions. :munch::usa

What to do with the manual MMM lift (1025R) while using the 3pt hitch in winter?

I have a 2018 1025R with the 54" auto connect MMM, I use the manual lift system for the mower...the one that uses the 3 pt hitch lifting mechanism to lift the mower. Now that winter is here I have removed the mower and added a 6' rear blade (iMatch) to help in snow removal. I used the mower hieght adjusting knob to lift the mower lift frame as high as I can so that it doesn't get in the way when plowing. Is this the right thing to do or should I remove the lift/auto connect system for the winter?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hey Folks
My tractor is showing this code and what I have found indicates “High Rail Pressure”. I changed the fuel filter but the problem persists. I found another post on here that pointed to a kinked fuel line. Only 150 hours on machine and dealer is a long distance from here. Any ideas where to start?

Thanks
Andy

Dining Room Table Recycle

Just about completed this 'recycle' project . . . a dining room table that I had built for us in the early 80's. The wood is 'rock hard' maple, therefore it would not take much stain then so I sealed it with Tung Oil back then.

A couple months ago Missey wanted new chairs and that started the 'recycle' project. The chairs are black and Missey wanted the table stained to match her hutch . . . I wanted to get rid of it.

The table was loaded with challenges above and beyond staining. Front to back the top was cupped ~ 3/8". The two leaves were warped and twisted.

The one piece top was cut into four pieces and sanded front and back to 'true' them up once again on a drum table sander. New side cuts were then made and the four boards were glued into a solid top once again.

Leaves and extensions were sanded to match the top's new thickness. New pegs were installed in extensions and leaves and set to 'true up' their seams once assembled.

Multiple coats of General Finishes oil base Nutmeg stain were basically painted on the maple to achieve something close to the color of the hutch. https://generalfinishes.com/wood-fin...sed-gel-stains

Then multiple coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal Oil Based Topcoat with light sanding between coats. Arm-R-Seal Urethane Topcoat | General Finishes

The bottom/trestle of the table was painted black with General Finishes Milk Paint. https://generalfinishes.com/wood-fin...cts/milk-paint

All General Finishes products were A++ for the project and 'highly' recommended.

Missey is "Very Pleased" . . . so I'm a hero.

Table - 13.JPG

The table must cure for a couple weeks before general use.

Checkout more pictures of the project if interested.

2018 1025r - add swivel seat?

My 2018 1025r TLB just got delivered today. Im use to my father's 2015 with the swivel seat but love the new backhoe. However, what I noticed was that you can't easily turn around while driving and move your backhoe controls, which is sometimes required if you're backing off a trailer so that it doesn't hit the ground. I was thinking that I could probably add the older swivel style seat but not sure if anyone has done it. Thoughts?

I just took delivery today of my 2018 1025r TLB. I opted to get the af10f 60" frontier plow and weight box as well. Over the last few years I've been using my father's tractor (2015 1025r TLB) around my yard for various projects. As the projects never seem to end, I decided it was time to purchase my own. I also figured it would be good to use for snow removal, although my current setup works great (Polaris Sportsman). My thoughts for further implements and attachments include a cab (likely older style curtis, or the original tractor cab), modify the ROPS top section to be straight instead of leaning forward and shortened to fit under a 7' door, and potentially a grapple.

Although I'm a new member, I've been a long time lurker. Debated between a Kubota bx23s and the 1025r for a while. This forum certainly helped me in my decision.

Have it separated about 5" allowing access to the propeller shaft and input shaft. Hesitant to go farther until I figure out how to separate the shafts. Diagram shows a roll pin under a collar with a snap ring , but the collar is partially covering the snap ring. Is removing the snap ring the first step to gaining access to the roll pin?

Pallet forks

I have a 3039r and am thinking on getting a set of pallet forks. I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on which ones and why? I have never had a set and do not know what I should be looking at. I do know I want the higher back and would like an easy way to attach a chain if needed. I have been looking and the only set I found that lists a chain slot is artillian but there is a significant price difference between them and just about anyone else.
Who uses what and is ther a less expensive set with a chain attachment?

I have a 2018 1025r being delivered soon and just looking around at front snow plows and confused on what exactly is needed?

If you go here and pick the following options below, what would I pick for 3?:
Mutton Configurator

1. Front Quick Hitch for 1025r at $835
2. Hydraulic Angle Kit for 1025r at $189
3. Not sure what to pick for Attaching Support kit? 1025r isn't listed? Pick the Combo Bracket or is this part already on the 1025r and not needed? Odd that they list 1025r in steps 1 and 2 and then nothing in step 3???

4066M Cab Help

I have a 4006M that I'm thinking about getting a cab to use in winter conditions. Curtis Cab has theirs on clearance for $1500. That's for metal and glass all around. Regular price $4000+. The web site says it is for the "R" series but the pictures show it on a 4052M. The response to my inquiry advised that, yes, it will work on the "M" series but you can't use it with the loader. I started comparing the look of the R vs the M. The loader is the D170 instead of the H180 but they appear in the same place when mounted. The bucket control IS an issue but I'm guessing that could be relocated without breaking the bank considering the clearance price. I'm thinking any other minor modifications could be made and still be ahead of the game. I can't find ANY other information on the web or other forums or pictures of the Curtis Cab on a tractor of this series. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Guys and Gals,

I've been lurking here a while, and really enjoying reading all the great posts.
I recently purchased a 2016 1025R with 50 hours.
It came with the H120 Loader and the 54D MMM.
Not much mowing going on, but I've cleaned and painted the deck underside already.
I now have a Titan Fork Lift attachment and a AF10F front blade to go with her.
I have many hours in 4430 and 4440 machines, and have a GT225.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you folks, as well as helping where I can.

3039r autoconnect frame on cab tractor

I have a 3039r cab with the auto connect frame that has a small issue. On the left side of the tractor, the flip latch rubs the bracket under the fuel tank. Sometimes it may make a thud when raising it, making me think it’s being forced to the right of three tractor to clear. It also squeaks when in the up position and look like it’s rubing making the noise.

Any one else have this issue on their cab tractor? I’m not seeing any real way to adjust it out. Photo attached.

moving an RV with 2025r

Hello,

New here, looked and couldn't find any old posts regarding this so thought I would ask.

I am thinking about moving my RV 27' with my 2025r.

I only need to move it in and out of my barn and turn 90 degrees onto my driveway all level ground, gravel to concrete.

Looks like capacities for bucket(754#) and 3 point(882#) are good for my tongue weight.

My question... any recommendations on using one vs. the other?

Thank you

Bucket size on 2025R?

Just goofing off today since sun is actually out and put a tape measure On my bucket. Measuring about 49 1/2. I thought the new 2025R was supposed to have the 53 inch bucket. I’m almost positive I ordered the 53 inch toothbar and it fits right. Maybe dealer pulled a fast one idk. It works fine but just not what I thought I had I guess. IMG_9649.jpg

X739 3pt hitch

I have seen a lot of hitch setups on here. I am a complete newbie to anything 3pt.

I believe the x739 has a 0 or a 1 category option. I assume one is bigger or stronger? Why would they have both because I am think 1 is the way to go, right?

So I need to buy the arms and install them. That can’t be to bad can it? What is all the discussion about the hitch? Is there a brand that is a no brained if you have nothing?

My goal initially is to add a simple ripper for taking care of roots.

Please tell me your preferences and what I am forgetting to consider.

New tractor purchase advice

I'm looking to purchase my first new tractor, a 3039R, from a dealer. The dealer has given me a quote and all the prices in the quote match the prices on the Deere website. When buying cars, there is always negotiating room between the MSRP and what the dealer will sell for, but I don't know how this translates to tractor buying. I am wondering what kind of price negotiation/wiggle room any of you have experienced on quoted prices when buying new? And/or any other thoughts and tips you might have. Thanks.
