As anyone knows that reads my rants, I have a love hate relationship with JD's engineering staff. Here's the latest example of my "amazement":
Tonight I installed a pair of Chris' "Horse Blinders" Horse Blinders and during the testing I rediscovered the strange sequence of the 1026 lighting switch:
"OFF>Hazard Flashers>Head Lights (Front grill only)with Hazard Lights>All Work Lights NO Hazard Lights"
Let's say you want to plow snow in a raging blizzard (one can only hope in this region) and you put your work lights on... You can not use your hazard warning flashing yellow/red lights that notify others that you are moving slowly around in the snow.
I seem to remember way back in April I found this out, but in that kind of weather it didn't sink in at the time. Tonight it's snowing and I "might" want to use my hazard flashers AND work lights and I simply can't see well enough backing up with just the headlights and flashers.
Has anyone done a rewire or have some circuit ideas for this blinking problem to simply/easily have hazard flashers working for night safety?
