The low oil pressure light is on in my tractor, however the oil level in the tractor remains full (actually slightly over). The dealer recommended I check the switch first. From what I have been able to figure out it looks like the switch is behind the oil filter, and the oil filter needs to be removed to check this. I have not had to change the oil yet in the tractor (delivered in September and has just under 12 hours on it) and do not have an oil wrench.
The questions are:
1) Am I reading the diagrams correctly
2) Do I need to get a Deere wrench since I will not be able to get to the dealer before they close today (I have never changed any oil before), also will I need to replace the oil and filter to check on the sender unit?
3) What are some of the possible causes, and how worried should I be
4) Being new to vehicle maintenance the oil dipstick was the yellow one on the right side of the tractor when sitting in the seat in the open area below the panel.
Thanks for helping out this newbie
