Sooner or later it's going to snow here in E. NY AND I do driveways on hills. This year it (I HOPE!) will be the 1026r/54QA plow doing the work replacing my GX335...
I need a definate solution to the "less than a pinky finger's thickness between the L. rear R4 tire and the BH subframe. Do I have to buy questionable fit "spacers"? Can the frame be "relocated" a bit with a O/A rosebud and a hammer or bending and welding in a piece? What would JD's president do with HIS tractor if he had a 1026r and needed chains? What do you folks recommend for this "factory design failure"?
(I spent big bucks on this machine AND plow and no mention of not being able to use the plow in winter was ever brought up by the dealer or the literature included with my machine and attachments.)
