As some of you know I'm in the processes of repairing an oil leak at the front crank seal on my 318 I have another thread on that.
When I took the PTO off to get to the seal I noticed that the mating surfaces looked rough.

I was thinking of hitting them with a Scotch-bright pad on my die grinder, is this a good idea?
