A lot of snow this year. I got tired of scooping snow out of dead end places and raising piles produced by plows so I ordered a PTO rear snowblower. I got hydraulic chute and discharge controls and thought that over the summer I could figure out how to hook them up. I have the 3rd (rear) SCV installed from when I bought the tractor.
I've done some research and see that the new 4th&5th SCV kits are not backwards compatible. I saw the thread by Tony on a similar project but it seemed like overkill.
I don't know anything about hydraulics so now for the naive question. Since i'm only concerned with one small piston and one small hydraulic motor is there any reason I can't just run out of the rear SCV, split the flow and add a two valve block to control these two components? I would leave the gear with the snowblower and attach the control block to the ROP frame with u-bolts for the season and plug into the SCV. I would have to keep the SCV open while blowing but that should be easy.
thanks
