New Deere Owner In Georgia

Hello,

New owner of a 2001 4300. Had been looking at lots of tractors orange and green, but was really leaning toward the orange kind. Have a couple of friends with them and one friend that works in the QC department at the factory.
Local dealer posted an ad for the 4300 HST on craigslist, so I stopped by there to check it out on the way to look at a Kubota L2800.
Really liked the tractor and it was equipped with a 420 FEL, and a Bush Hog Squealer rotary cutter. Only 172 hours on the tractor and it was a trade in bought there and had just been serviced. My previous tractor experience has been mostly Deere tractors (5425, 7200, and a 4440) with the odd Case from time to time. I really liked the hydrostatic transmission on the 4300.

Went on to look at the Kubota. I didn't like the Kubota(manual trans) and live PTO but without a two stage clutch. It came with a loader and a cheap rotary cutter, but I just couldn't see it being very user friendly. That dealer also had a 2012 3038e (45 hours)with loader and a new Frontier cutter, but we couldn't gee and haw on the out the door price.
So on the way back home, I stopped back by and made a deal on the 4300.
Managed to get it all on a 14 foot trailer and get it home safely. I WILL be shopping for a longer trailer soon as I plan to use the tractor and implements on 50 acres I own and at a property where I hunt and camp.
Sorry for the long post, but I am looking forward to learning from this community how to get the most from my "new" tractor. Just getting familiar with the tractor moving some dirt around at home now, and checking everything over and making it "mine".
