Well, it's been 2 years already, and my warranty is about to expire on my 4720. What do you guys think about the extended warranty? It is $750.00 to extend it 2 years (or 800 hours), and $450.00 to extend it another year (or 600 hours). I'v got about 400 hours on it now, and only had 1 minor warranty issue... the water pump started leaking and had to be resealed.
I'm sure just about any repair would cost more than the 750, but it has been pretty reliable so far.
Also, the power train warranty is still in force, but I don't recall how long that is. The emission component warranty is 5 years, and that's actually pretty comprehensive...it covers, injectors, turbo, exhaust, engine computer, glow plugs etc.
I'm leaning toward not extending it.
