I'm looking to change the motor oil for the first time later this year on my 1023E and I haven't seen info regarding the use of Deere's highly regarded 0W-40 synthetic in the 1-series. 0w-40 isn't listed as an acceptable weight per the 1025/1023 owner's manual, but I prefer synthetic oil and the Deere Plus 50 0w-40 appears to be an exceptional oil.
I read some of Deere's info on the 0w-40 and it states that its recommended for any Deere engine; however the 1-series uses a Yanmar.
i live in the cold northeast and like the viscosity of this oil .
Is anyone using Deere's 0w-40 synthetic specifically in a 1-series? And has Deere okayed it as an option for the 1-series? John
