I have a 855 tractor. I damaged the 3-pt hitch top link or center link. I tried JD Parts & see the part is NLA The p/n is CH15282. This is the threaded end that attaches to the implement. The best my JD dealer could offer is to buy a completely new top link full assembly for $395. The threaded shaft has a bend in it which I could not straighten out all the way. I asked the service dept. if they could put it under their hydraulic press & pad it with wood blocking & try to straighten. They would not even get up off their asses to try it. What has happened to JD as a company lately really stinks. Everyone appears to be so depressed at my dealer & he is one of the biggest JD dealers spanning two states & fifteen locations. They did not even offer to do a dealer parts search for me. Either they are too stupid to understand their own network systems or too lazy. Just can't figure it out any longer. Think I will go to harbor freight & buy myself a press & do the job the pros don't know how to do. The people working at some of the JD dealerships should go be brain surgeons instead of mechanics. They certainly have the high & mighty attitude of a brain surgeon, but they are so stupid that the one guy did not know the difference between a RH thread & a LH thread but could stand there and tell me everything JD made is Metric! Jackasses.
If anyone knows where I might look for a used replacement please let me know. Thanks:bash:
