Hey all, I'm new to the forum and looking for some help. My fuel solenoid burned up a couple weeks ago. I replaced it and it appeared to be working but then it started over heating and burning. I have read that there are two circuits on the solenoid - one that pulls in when starting and a second that hold it it. Today, the solenoid falls out after you move the switch from crank to run. It did this when I first installed the new solenoid but I found a fuse blown, replace it, and then it stayed in when in run position. So I don't know what holds it in when in the run position and why it's overheating. I read somewhere that if the solenoid held in to long it would get hot and burn up. There are three wires on the solenoid; a black and Red that connect to the wiring harness and a long white one that connects to the starter. I would appreciate any help on why this thing is doing what it is!!
Thank you
Mark
