Told my wife , when I finished mowing our back yard, I was going up on the hill to mow our friends property and the church cemetery.
Up to this year had mowed this lot every 7-10 days for the past 13-15 yrs. This year have only mowed it maybe 6 times. Would take apx 1hr 30 -2 hrs, while mowing the neighbor would come out on her porch ( husband also before he passed away age 92-93). We would set and talk for 30-60 mins . tell her I would see her next week. Last fall at age 93 or 94 her kids felt MOM didn't need to live by herself so she went to live with one of her 3 daughters. A couple of months ago she had a stroke and didn't think she would live.. Did but had to go to a nursing home , I went to the nursing home about 4 weeks ago, she didn't remember me , one of her daughters said she didn't know them, well today she passed away. :pray:
To night when I came home from mowing her property , my wife told me .
May she rest in peace , and prayers to her children, grandkids, and great grandkids. Her husband ex WWII veteran always had a flagpole in the front yard and yes a flag flying high till 2 weeks ago. Her grandson took the flag down and pulled out the flag post. Guessing he knew his grandmother wouldn't be seeing it again, and he is a Marine vet. Seemed ODD mowing yard the last two times and no flag pole.
