Looking for some ideas here. I plan on using my tractor for a bit of plowing this coming winter and one of the concerns I have is getting hung up/stuck. Since I'm pretty much on my own in this, I figure a winch would be a "nice to have" that I could operate myself to get un-stuck should the need arise.
Since I'll have the plow on the front of the tractor a 3-pt mounted winch seems to make more sense. I could mount a 3pt box receiver and attach that way or just weld the winch mount to my 3pt carry-all.
I'm a little bit concerned about the current draw of an electrical system. The battery isn't exactly huge on a 2032R and the alternator isn't putting out 200 amps either.
Is there a way to use the Power Beyond system to run a hydraulic winch?
Are there PTO driven options that aren't logging winches that cost an arm and a leg?
