I have been a frequent visitor to this site for information but have never posted here before. I recently sold my 12 year old 4100 series and replaced it with a new 2025R. I am happy with the tractor and the 130 loader as well. My question is about the max mowing height and max lift height on the mechanical lift 62D mid mount mower deck. In the 3 point hitch max up position, my mower deck is 4/3/8" off the pavement and the blade is at 4"+-. In the locked cutting position the mower is 3 3/4". My dealer says this is spec and the deck cannot be raised any higher. Is he correct? Is there any way to raise the mower deck a bit?
I cut about 8 acres total and I have a Z950R that I do most of the groomed mowing with. I use the tractor to mow areas that are less even and as I mow these areas less often the grass is higher. On my 4100 I was able to raise the deck approx. 6" to cut the heavier stuff and or go over an obstruction like a stump. Now I have to cut lower than I want to and mow around obstructions like stumps. The deck on the 950 raises more than an inch higher than the deck on the 2025. Any help or information appreciated.
