2520 MFWD engagement lever

Maybe this thread will need to be merged with the "popping out of 4WD" thread, but for now, I have a question.

My 2520 still occasionally pops out of 4WD. I have been conducting several experiments, and have a few ideas, but for now, one key point is that when it pops out, it seems like there is just a fine line between being engaged, and popping out. In fact, if I put my foot on the lever to feel it pop out, it won't. If I hold my foot just above the lever, I can barely feel when it pops out.

I have also noticed that when driving around the 4WD light on the dash will start flickering and sometimes stay on, and now it will stay on almost constantly. The tractor is NOT in 4WD, but the selector lever seems to have no pressure holding it up, so normally bouncing driving around makes it drop down enough for the sensor to turn the dash light on. The amount of lever movement required to turn the light on is almost unmeasurable. It has to be on the order of maybe 0.1".

So my question is, is there an adjustment for the pressure on the selector lever, and is there an adjustment for the sensor that tells the tractor it is in 4WD and turns on the dash indicator? I am thinking if there was something to adjust the pressure on the selector lever it wold no longer pop out of gear. Maybe the sensor needs to be adjusted so the lever can go down farther (maybe the SENSOR is what is keeping the lever from fully engaging 4WD). One of my ideas was just to use some duct tape and tape a one pound lead fishing sinker to the lever. Of course, this might make it so the tractor always wants to shift INTO 4WD.

I have the tech manual and just went through it and it shows the components of the 4WD selecting system, but doesn't mention any adjustments.

Also, if anyone with a 2520 is reading this, how much movement does your selector lever have, and how far must it move before the dash indicator turns on (NOT how far until it actually engages the 4WD).
